We exist to carry on Sheridan’s legacy of giving back, and at SCF, everyone’s ability to give is highly valued and in fact necessary to our success.

Sheridan Community Foundation

WHO WE ARE

Our foundation’s unique expertise lies in maximizing the immediate and long-term value of every single donor dollar, then placing it where it will make the absolute greatest impact. We help donors of all means ensure their gifts are maximized and responsibly utilized.

As an educational organization, SCF is driven to teach the value of giving right here in Sheridan County, emphasizing the dividends it pays today and for years to come. We are an organization that helps people of all means determine the best way to give, based on their values and common desire to be a part of a community that proactively builds Sheridan County, one act of generosity at a time.

We have studied the needs of the community and have learned where generosity stands to make the biggest difference. No matter your means, we are here to help make the most of your gift, adding value along the way.

TO HOLD IN TRUST “Involves being responsible for something or someone that we don’t possess, own or have ultimate control over. It is knowing that when our responsibility is completed, we will have contributed to improving the capability and health of individuals and organizations and to enhancing conditions for those we may never know, for a time we may never see.”

Thank you to our patrons!

The Sheridan Community Foundation is determined to facilitate a giving spirit from the individual donor to the business donor to community and foundation partners, making the process accessible to everyone while building a fund that exists in perpetuity. Our patrons and donors will be recognized here.

Read a statement from one of our generous partners:

Congratulations on establishing the Sheridan Community Foundation. For many years I have felt this was something our community needed and could benefit greatly from. I feel confident that the people of our community will support it as a way of taking care of many deserving non-profits and charities in Sheridan County’s future. How exciting to think that anyone and everyone can help leave a legacy. Your efforts will continue to make Sheridan a source of pride and a great place to live, work, and play.
